Insufficient Effort Responding

With the continuous improvement of technology and the data collecting tools it offers, ensuring that collected data is reliable and representative of the general population should be of fundamental importance. Hence, identifying issues such as insufficient effort responding (IER), which entails inaccurate responses to surveys due to, amongst other reasons, deficient effort or motivation to appropriately respond to a survey, has a crucial role in the identification of valid data.

The identification and measurement of insufficient effort responding, as well as its antecedents and predictors, is crucial to ensure the reliability of collected data. This project looks at ways to detect insufficient effort responding patterns in participants include prescreening questions, the usage of passive measures, and active measures.
